By: Kip Beckman

Highlights

The Canadian economy will expand by 2.0 per cent this year and 1.9 per cent 2019.

Growth is forecast to be modest compared with last year, and that is due mainly to the weaker outlook for household spending and exports.

The Canadian dollar is expected to trade in the US$0.80 range over the near term.
