Highlights

Business confidence has continued the downward trend that began at the end of 2017, despite the new trade agreement with the United States and Mexico and federal measures to make Canada more attractive to investment.

About the Index of Business Confidence

The Conference Board of Canada surveys Canadian business leaders every quarter on the state of their business’ sales and finances, their investment plans, and their expectations for the coming six months. The results are available to e-Data subscribers, and analysis is available to e-Library subscribers or for a one-time fee. The Index of Business Confidence has been produced since 1993.
