Roger Francis
 
Roger Francis
Director

Roger Francis has over 25 years of progressively senior corporate-relations experience. Prior to working at The Conference Board of Canada, he was Managing Director of a consultancy specializing in engagement, issues management, reputing, and business processes for national and regional clients in the resource, chemical and health sectors

Roger has led strategies resulting in a $500M corporate buyout, the establishment of national health system policies, the realignment of North American sustainability investment, and the creation of regional research innovation frameworks. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in sociology and a minor in cultural anthropology.

Ovo Adagha
 
Ovo Adagha
Senior Research Associate, Energy, Environment and Transportation Policy

Ovo undertakes research projects on industry issues, transition policy options and implications related to clean tech development, public infrastructure, energy markets and environmental systems. Before joining The Conference Board of Canada, Dr. Adagha was a Research and Development Consultant with different organizations. He currently serves on the board of The Elements Society - where he promotes environmental advocacy and educational initiatives. He received a PhD from the University of Calgary with specializations in Energy and Environmental Systems. He has an MSc in Renewable Energy Futures from University of Aberdeen, and a BSc in Geology and Mining from Nigeria.

Carlos Murillo
 
Carlos Murillo
Senior Research Associate, Energy and Environment Policy

Carlos assists in conceptualizing and developing new research opportunities, undertakes complex research projects, and helps in expanding the profile of the organization's energy and environment policy research portfolio. Prior to his current role, Mr. Murillo was an Economist in the Industry Economics group at The Conference Board of Canada where he oversaw the analysis of Canada's energy industries and provided expertise on all issues related to energy economics.

Babatunde Olateju
 
Babatunde Olateju
Senior Research Associate

Dr. Olateju focuses on research that addresses clean energy issues and economy-wide decarbonization opportunities, innovations in mobility, along with the future of infrastructure. Prior to joining the Conference Board of Canada, he was a Manager in the Clean Energy Division of Alberta Innovates and previously served on Energy and Environment Committee of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. Tunde received a PhD from the University of Alberta's Mechanical Engineering Department, where as a Sadler Scholar, he specialized in the techno-economics of renewable and non-renewable energy systems. Tunde holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University, England.

Brett Goodwin
 
Brett Goodwin
Research Assistant, Energy, Environment and Transporation Policy

Brett began working at the Conference Board as an intern on the Energy, Environment and Transportation team in the summer of 2017 after completing a BA in Economics from the University of Calgary. While at the Board, Brett has worked on projects related to renewable energy, green technology, carbon pricing and carbon leakage. While working part time at the Conference Board, Brett is also pursuing a master's degree in political science from the University of Calgary. His major field is international relations with a focus on international political economy. Brett's thesis work investigates intra-industry division within the dairy market and its implications for supply management in Canada.
