Sam Goucher is an economist in the Provincial and Territorial Forecast team. Sam is responsible for monitoring the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba as well as developments in Canada's labour market and demographics. He also provides forecasts on agricultural output and farm income.
Prior to joining the Conference Board of Canada in 2017, Sam worked as an economist in the Fiscal Policy Division of the Department of Finance for the Government of New Brunswick, where he produced quarterly and annual forecasts as well as various economic impact analyses. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Queen's University and an undergraduate degree with Honours in Economics from Saint Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia.
